Gwinnett County Board of Commissioner’s, https://www.gwinnettcounty.com/, awarded us with the contract for the replacement of the roof on Fire Station #21 in Suwanee, GA. Re-roofing of this project will take place late summer. We are looking forward to working with Gwinnett County to get this project completed.
Safety is our top priority here at WRS. Weekly our crew leaders hold onsite job safety meetings to ensure that all team members stayed informed.
In observance of National Safety Stand Down Week- May 02- 06, https://www.osha.gov/StopFallsStandDown/index.html, our field crews have hosted several safety lessons on preventing falls in construction. This morning each of our crew leaders lead a safety lesson with their crews instructing them on proper ladder set up, inspections of the ladders, and safe work practices for climbing and carrying ladders. Our crew leaders constantly review fall preventing lessons with our on weekly bases.
Last Friday morning our team members meet to discuss and demonstrate the purpose and how to properly use fall protection equipment. Each member of our staff demonstrated the proper and correct way of wearing a harness; checked their safety ropes, and d-rings for damage. Our foreman discussed the proper way to rescue a fallen team member and the importance of time. Our employee’s safety is our biggest priority!
